This module aims at providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills in order to make them able to design and develop a working embedded system. Once they will be able to do that they will be able to easily understand the operation and maintain the many embedded systems they will meet either in industrial production lines or everyday used products.

To provide students with a profound and systematic comprehension of essential aspects of applications development.

This module aims to teach a number of paradigms for machine learning including (un)supervised learning, knowledge representation, reasoning, automated (computer) decision-making, and optimization (stochastic) in practical applications. Care will be given to implementation issues including implementation via the Internet.

This course aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of Internet engineering and the technical background for computer networks, and prepares the ground for developing, deploying and managing web-based applications and services.

Enhance students’ understanding of emerging educational technologies in teaching and learning so that they can use information technology in teaching and learning effectively. Aligns the principles of how people learn with technological tools proven effective in achieving results across the disciplines.

The learning objectives include the brief critical review and analysis of current autonomous robots as well as the consolidation and extension of knowledge in robotics applications. Provide a practical understanding of robotic navigation and locomotion also towards robot localization, obstacle avoidance. Provide an in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of autonomous mobile robots including principles of control architectures, activity tracking and modeling. Demonstrate how the aforementioned techniques and technologies impinge on research and industrial activities.

This course aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of Internet engineering and the technical background for computer networks, and prepares the ground for developing, deploying and managing ubiquitous networking and next generation networking solutions.

Learning Objectives: Students will advance their knowledge in Internet communications and acquire the necessary skills for developing and utilizing networking solutions and technologies necessary to support web-based applications and services. They will learn about the core protocols and mechanisms that comprise the Internet of Things, and the technologies behind wireless and mobile communications. Moreover, they will explore state of the art web technologies and next generation networking. In this context, emphasis will also be placed on ubiquitous communications as well as low-power and lossy networks, including wireless sensor networks.
